Full-Time Line Cook Wanted in Lethbridge
Job Description
We are currently seeking Full time Line Cooks to join our team at our North location within Lethbridge.
The Line Cook plays an integral part to the seamless preparation and execution of recipes, menus and product development at Luigis. The Line Cook will be responsible for supporting kitchen activities by executing recipes using proper ingredients, exquisite presentation and ongoing creation of new product offerings. This person will be executing the preparation of daily kitchen activities, monitoring quality of products and motivating the staff.
Description:
• Creatively create food dishes which are appealing to the customer in not only presentation however taste, texture and composition.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety), and sanitation regulations are met.
• Understand and practice proper preparation techniques for ingredients and recipes.
• Memorize staple recipes to ensure consistency from batch to batch.
• Execute preparation and creation of dishes in a timely manner to respond to customer requests.
• Cooking in bulk while being mindful of minimizing waste.
• Use of commercial kitchen equipment such as meat slicers, mixers, oven and steamers.
Qualifications:
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs repetitively
• Ability to work in temperature sensitive rooms
• Ability to work out side regular business hours if needed
• Open availability – be able to work any day of the week as determined by business needs
